(Educational Background)   BA Degree from Millsaps College, Jackson, MS; Master’s of Religious Education from Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX; Graduate of the Institute of Organizational Management, University of GA; Graduate of the Alabama Intensive Economic Development Training Course, Auburn University, AL.

(Work Information)  Began work with Wetumpka Area Chamber of Commerce in 1992 as Executive Director.  We are a staff of only two.  My responsibilities include all planning and daily operations of the Chamber, etc.

Ten years, Director with the local Community Action Agency and its Statewide counterpart. 
 

(Civic and Community Activities)   Represent the Chamber of Commerce in a number of organizations all of which support and enhance the objectives of the Chamber’s work. Past President of Friends of the Forts (support organization for Fort Toulouse/Fort Jackson State Historic Site and National Historic Landmark); Past President of Alabama Sunrise Region (a fifteen county tourism promotion and retiree attraction region); Past President of Elmore County Adult Education Advisory Committee; Board of Directors of Envision 2020 for the River Region (Autauga, Elmore, Lowndes, Macon and Montgomery Counties); Council of the River Region (a coalition of the five Chambers in the tri-county area); past Advisory Council member for Horseshoe Bend Regional Library Board; a preparer/compiler of the Elmore County Heritage Book; President of the Elmore County Historical Society; Member of Trail of Legends Association (to design and facilitate a system of multi-use trails throughout the entire county); Member steering committee and chair of selection committee for Leadership Elmore County; recently tabbed as Vice Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama.
